The April Parker Foundation has been awarded the COYA Grant by the California Department of Industrial Relations, allowing them to expand efforts in empowering marginalized youth through housing, life skills training, and personalized support.

Long Beach, CA – July 26th, 2024 – The April Parker Foundation is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious California Opportunity Youth Grant (COYA) by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). This significant grant will enable the Foundation to further its mission of empowering marginalized communities through enhanced access to resources and supportive services.

The COYA grant is designed to support initiatives that provide critical opportunities for youth who are not currently engaged in employment or education. With this funding, the April Parker Foundation will expand its efforts to offer comprehensive support to young individuals, guiding them towards a brighter and more secure future.
